Getting started

What is Tekkers?
Tekkers is a platform for discovering, joining, and hosting local sports games. Players can find pickup matches, recurring leagues, and community-led groups across multiple sports. Organizers can publish events, manage spots, and grow a regular crew without juggling group chats.
Where is Tekkers available?
We're focused on Amsterdam first. The app works wherever you have internet, but events, communities, and venues are concentrated in the Netherlands while we grow.
How do I download the app?
Tekkers is available on iOS and Android. You can grab it from the App Store or Google Play.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. Tekkers is an adult-only platform. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, book a game, or host one. See our Terms & Conditions for details.

For players

How do I find games near me?
Open the Explore tab and allow location access to see nearby sessions. You can filter by sport, time, and skill level. Tap an event to see capacity, organizer info, and the venue.
How do I reserve a spot?
Tap into an event, then tap "Join". If the game is paid, you'll be taken to checkout. Your spot is confirmed once the booking flow completes (and any payment is authorized).
What if I can't make it?
Cancel as early as possible from the event screen. As a default, if you cancel at least 24 hours before kick-off you're eligible for a refund or platform credit. Within 24 hours, refunds aren't usually possible. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Can I message the organizer?
Yes. Open the event and use the in-app chat to ask the host a question or coordinate before the session.
What sports are supported?
Football, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, and more. We add new sports as communities request them.

For organizers

How do I become a host on Tekkers?
Submit the organizer application. We'll review your community, set up your hosting profile, and walk you through publishing your first session.
Can I run private or invite-only sessions?
Yes. Each event has a visibility setting — public, community-only, or invite-only — so you can run open pickup games or closed crews.
How do payouts work?
Paid events are processed through our payment partner. Platform fees and any host service fees are clearly disclosed before checkout. Payouts to organizers follow the schedule shown in your hosting dashboard.
Am I responsible for venue and safety?
Yes. Hosts act independently and are responsible for ensuring the venue can lawfully be used, that the activity is run safely, and that participants are treated fairly. See the Host Terms.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancel as early as possible from your hosting dashboard. Affected players will be entitled to a full refund or credit. Repeated cancellations can affect hosting privileges.

Payments & refunds

Which payment methods do you accept?
We process payments through external providers such as Stripe, supporting major cards and common European methods. Available options are shown at checkout.
How do I request a refund?
Cancel from the event screen first. If you believe you're due a refund outside the standard policy (host cancelled, safety issue, etc.), email support@tekkers.nl with your booking details and the reason.
What about bad weather?
For outdoor sports, if a game is cancelled before kick-off due to weather, you'll be issued a refund or credit. If the game has already started, refunds aren't automatic.
Are credits transferable?
Platform credits may have expiry dates, are generally non-transferable, and aren't exchangeable for cash unless required by law.

Account & privacy

How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion from in-app settings, or email privacy@tekkers.nl. We'll process the request within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
What data does Tekkers collect?
Account info, profile details, booking history, payment references, in-app messages, technical data, and (with permission) location. Full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I report a player or host?
Use the in-app report button on the user's profile or event page, or email support@tekkers.nl with the event details and what happened. We take community safety seriously.
Forgot your password?
Use the "Forgot password" link on the login screen. If you don't receive a reset email within a few minutes, check spam or contact support.
